The devil's weapons

You might have heard many times that the devil uses lies, cheating, killing, stealing etc..., against those that want something with God.  Yes, because those that don't want to have a closer relation to God, he doesn't even lift a finger, because they already are in his hands.  Those however, that have been trying to get closer to God are his real target.  You must be wondering, how does he do this?  This is a lesson that I have learned throughout these past months that I had my falling with God.  He makes you feel unwanted by the congregation.  Another one of his cunning ways is that he comes to you accusing you of how you have been in the past.  You may also have a variation of shame and doubt placed upon you, shame of what you have done and doubt that God has forgiven you.  To answer this question I would like to take a quick look at the book of Mark 4;12  "That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."  In this short but meaningful passage it shows that nothing should hinder us for we who are seeking Him.  Let us look further into the syntax of the passage.  It says they should be converted and their sins should be forgiven them. When a person turns his/her path is it not conversion?  They were going into perdition, and turned to Jesus is it not conversion, of course it is.  So, we conclude that the conversion has forgiven and washed their sins away.  Obviously conversion is not just turning to Jesus and continuing to do the sins they were doing, it comes with other steps such as not only saying you are a follower but to truly follow Jesus, to truly become a christian, in your walk, your talk, your actions etc..., and possibly the most important part of achieving forgiveness is to thruthfully repent and never ever look back to the life that you have given up.  That being done, I can guarantee you that the devil will never have a way to access your life!

May God Bless You

Why?

Well, I suppose you would be wondering why is this blog called the journey.  First off, I have to let you all know that these posts are going to be about a spiritual journey.  I have decided to write this blog for those that, like me have had a falling away with your faith and most importantly with God.  I will be posting excerpts of the bible and meditation, as well as experiences in my everyday life and other things.  My purpose is to edifice both my spiritual life as well as all the readers.
